CHENANISAURUS
Named after Sidi Chennane mine
Late Cretaceous, 68-66 million years agoThis Moroccan abelisaurid was about as tall as a modern-day camel, but up to 26 feet long! Officially described in 2017, it is one of the newest dinosaurs found, and possibly one of the last dinosaurs living. That’s right, barring new finds, it’s very likely that Chenanisaurus was able to watch everything around it perish during the K-T extinction event!
In fact, Morocco was so much closer to Mexico at the end of the Cretaceous, Chenanisaurus might even have been able to see the flash from the asteroid! Lucky!
No chenanigans.

it took 3 years to get to this moment. from the time i wrote the song to the time i first performed it in Sonoma, CA. what this song taught me about myself i could never put into words. it opened up a place in my heart i thought i had lost. it reminds me that the final destination is only as good as the road that gets you there.
with so much going on in the world and here at home, i hope this video gives you a chance to escape into a world where gender, color, and orientation don’t keep us divided — they bring us closer together.

Happy birthday to the Hubble Space Telescope. On April 24, 1990, shuttle mission STS-31 saw Discovery launch the telescope successfully into its planned orbit. After some early trouble with mirrors and some daring fix-it missions, Hubble has turned out to be one of the greatest achievements in the history of science. Call that hyperbole if you like, but the more I’ve learned about the Hubble Space Telescope – through the telescope, I should say – the more I stand in awe. (NASA/HubbleSite/APOD)
